Getting to Casa de los Celtas is, by Costa Rican standards, relatively easy on a fully paved road; a 4wd vehicle is not necessary.

Enter San Isidro del General on a stretch of dual carriage-way, pass the city centre and Cathedral on your right and continue over two rivers to the top of the first short hill. Enter intersection to take the left exit beside the entrance to the Maxi Pali supermarket.
Enter the suburbs on wide dual carriageway, pass Monte General mall on your left and continue for approximately 4km, look for the brown tourist signpost to Mount Chirripo.
After approximately 7km, pass Rancho La Botija on your left, pass La Piedra de Indios - a big stone to your right – and see our signpost at the crest of the hill.
From San Jose the MUSOC bus company provides an hourly service to San Isidro de El General, Perez Zeledon; the journey takes 3 hours. Taxis are available for a quick 15 minute ride to Casa de los Celtas.
